good questions and light reading

I have a copy of the CRC.  It is the handbook for Chemistry and Physics.  My copy is rather old, but it has the right information.  For those that are not familiar it is a reference guide, math tables, boiling points etc.  I was looking up flame tests of chemicals for a lab students had and showed it to them.  One student asked if I read it.

"no, it is not meant to be read, it is a reference guide."

Next question, "do you understand it all?"

Hmm.."good question, no, maybe half of it."
